To create a Launceston that provides access to services and spaces for all community members to promote healthy living and celebrate our diversity.

Social equity is about providing equally for all people living in our community. Council is invested in our whole community’s long-term health and wellbeing. We want to better understand how we can foster and promote Launceston as a safe and welcoming and healthy place for all.

Our challenge is to work together to address issues of social isolation, disparity and unfairness to create a Launceston that is welcoming and healthy for all.

Specifically, the information that we collect from you in this theme, will be used to help develop our Community Engagement Framework that will focus on the following four key themes:

  1. Strong communities
  2. Supported communities
  3. Connected communities
  4. Thriving communities

Get involved by:

1. Completing the online survey (register and you'll go into the draw to win family passes to our Launceston Leisure and Aquatic and Village Cinemas)

2. Joining us at a series of fun Pop Ups across the city (now complete)
