Community Climate Action Plan – Draft Released

8 July 2025

The City of Launceston is calling on residents and local businesses to have their say on the Draft Community Climate Action Plan, a roadmap to achieve a sustainable, low-carbon future for the city.

Following an initial round of community engagement last year, the draft Plan has been shaped by input from residents, youth, local businesses, and experts through the 'Low Carbon Launceston' engagement process.

Now, the community is invited to provide feedback to ensure the Plan reflects their vision and priorities.

The Draft Community Climate Action Plan outlines ambitious goals to reduce emissions by 50 per cent by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050, in line with national and state objectives.
