After a four-week voting period and more than 1,000 votes, the City of Launceston has officially endorsed Sky Vessels by Katie Stackhouse as the winning design. This artwork will become a striking feature at the entrance to Launceston, welcoming visitors and locals alike.

Sky Vessels received 51% of the votes, just ahead of the other shortlisted design, Kanamaluka Kanalaritja by Lola Greeno at 49% of the votes.

The close result shows that both designs were strong and well-supported by the community. We sincerely thank both artists for their creativity and generosity in sharing their work and for allowing the community to make the final decision.

We are grateful to everyone who shared their thoughts during the first round of engagement and helped choose the final design. Your input has shaped this project from the beginning - thank you!

Prize Winners Announcement

As part of the second round of engagement, two community members who submitted an online vote for the Northern Gateway artwork have been randomly selected as prize winners. Each will receive a $100 grocery gift card. Congratulations!
